Sara competed in the OrangeMan Half Ironman Triathlon on Sunday with a few of our friends. She signed up for the race at a silent charity auction for the Challenged Athletes Foundation and much to her amazement she got the entry..a and the conversation was.. oh man I have a half to do in 4 weeks 🙂
We both wanted to know about the race because it was right in our backyard in Dana Point and was the first year. The race course ended up being very challenging with hills on both the bike and the run

After that kind of racing Sara needed a pretty serious cool-down and this really did the trick…
Sara ended up placing second in her age group..she is such a fierce competitor when the course gets tough and always look good on the podium….
Sara and Scotty both took 2nd in their age groups for the day, way to go guys
