1On our way back from hiking the wave we decided to stay over two nights to explore Bryce Canyon. Sara had not been there in 15 years and it was my first time in the park.
We drove over from Kanab, UT and decided to get an afternoon hike in to check things out. Below is where we spent most of our time hiking in the Bryce Amphitheater…there are some great hikes and some awesome sight to see….
We started with two short hikes at Sunset Point and then the Queens Navajo loop. The trail took us from the rim of the canyon…
Down into the Hoodoo’s that are in this entire canyon…
On the Peekaboo Loop we saw lots of peekaboo windows in the hoodoos
While hiking we came across a 1/2 mile detour to see what they called the Tower Bridge… well we couldn’t not stop to see it and we were well rewarded….. don’t you feel like you are in England 🙂 in the middle of Utah
The second day we got up at Sunrise to capture the grandeur of the amphitheater from Bryce Point. As we drove into the park we saw these guys hanging out by the road..
This guy was very bold and just walked right in front of our car..I guess they are accustomed to owning the park at this time of the morning….
We were not alone…in the chill of the morning standing near the edge of Bryce Point we saw these sights:
Its really hard to take it all in….
Check out his video of us hiking down in Bryce Canyon…
We also took a break between hikes and drove down to have lunch near this rock formation called Natural Bridge it was beautiful…
