This morning Sara and I did the Ride for Hunger that was organized by Rock and Road cyclery in Irvine. Jason and James were there from BDS and some friends of theirs and Uncle Ronnie from the Newport running group.
Our group
Riders dropped off canned goods to help people in need during the holidays and by the size of the riding group, upwards of 300 riders, there was lots of food donated.
It was a beautiful warm day with some kick-in wind gusts, but with the big group the pace was not pedestrian. Our top speed for the day riding through Santiago Canyon from the El Toro side toward Jamboree was about 42 mph and we were cruising along most of the time well above 25; we were thankful for the regroup points.
