Camp Pendelton Sprint Triathlon

Sara did the Pendelton Sprint Triathon today as well as our friends.

Here you can see the transition area right down by the beach – Yup all of those are bikes on bike racks waiting for the triathletes when they come of the ocean seen the in distance. If you look on the left side of the picture near the water you can see all the triathletes lined up to go into the water, the ocean was really rocking for this race!

Scott, Ron and Quinton..some of our training buddies before the race, don’t let the smiles fool you these guys are serious racers.

Here is some footage of the race. Sara placed 5th, Scott was 1st, Ron was 3rd, and Quinton was 4th  in their age groups, not a bad day for the group 🙂

The race was on The Camp Pendleton Marine Base in the LCAC Naval facility. What you see in the background both on this picture and the one below is an LCAC (Landing Craft Air Cushion) – Massive aren’t they? If you want to read up more on these awesome machines you can here.
