Challenged Athletes Race – CAF

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

This race is one that everyone should see in their lifetime. It was started by the Challenged Athletes Foundation and is a Half Ironman Triathlon which is mostly done as a relay and it for Challenged Athletes -mostly amputee’s. It is amazing watching these amazing people compete in this race that most able bodied American’s don’t attempt. Our triathlon club (OCTC) sponsors about five teams every year and holds an annual fundraiser for CAF where the relay team slots are chosen in a raffle. Sara did a swim leg and then ran with me on the half marathon leg. It was a great way to finish off a great season of racing. Just look at that ocean in the background it was a great day to be in La Jolla.
