Christmas Letter

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hope all is going well for you, and your family and friends! Things have been going great here. We still love sunny California especially this time of year. Really, you should come out and see for yourself! If you already live here than you already know!

We have our Christmas cards made early this year. Our Church had a special when we got our pictures done, that we could get the volume discount on the Christmas picture cards, too. I think they were taken last February! Good thing we still look pretty much the same.

The highlight of the year at least for me was to compete in the Hawaii Ironman in Kona, Hawaii. What a beautiful setting and what a spectacular venue. There were 2 or 3 volunteers for every athlete competing so we were treated like royalty! There were tons of people cheering and helping me along, especially Kari. He and my very good friend, Janai, were catchers at the finish line for me. They were great!

It may not surprise you that a lot of time went into training for Hawaii. Kari is amazing for training with and supporting me. We also developed a close network of triathlon friends who are just as crazy as us. We did a lot of bike rides down to Camp Pendleton and my favorite ride down to San Diego to take Amtrak home.

My car that I bought in Wisconsin before I moved to California finally died. She developed a bad smoking problem and it took her life in a matter of days. Unfortunately, I drove her for about a week. We replaced her with a newer model of the same car with George’s help. The trunk is large enough to fit all three of us inside! Ask us how we know.

This summer my niece, Emily came out for a visit from Wisconsin. It was great to have her here. We were able to explore more of the culture and art especially in Laguna Beach and had an exercise adventure every day at Kari and Sara Boot Camp. Emily, you are a trooper!

We went on several trips to the Midwest for our Internet business, and to see friends and family. Business is great and it is always wonderful to visit the people we love!

Kari is great about pictures and updates.

The reason we write this letter every year is that we would love to hear from you! What are you up to and how are things going? Please keep in touch.

Again, Merry Christmas! Kari and Sara
