MWe really wanted to see some Monkeys close up and we were in luck when we hooked up with a driver and guide named Dimas who was the man for setting us up with adventures at good prices.
We were set to do some ziplining for the day at a place called the Adventure Park but before we went we went a locals house with Dimas to see some Monkey’s.
As soon as we parked we could see white faced monkeys in the tree’s pulling down and eating mango’s
and at first they we just playing and eating in the tree’s, but this all changed when Dimas and another lady started chanting…
Monkey-Ven! Monkey -Ven!
and got out some Banana’s and cookies to hand out – then this Monkey troop starting coming out of the tree’s to check it out…
You would hold some food in your hand and then hold onto the tree and the monkey would walk on you to get to the food… like Greg is doing here…
Next we all got into the act and the longer we were there the more they wanted to play and get our food…

These guys all had their own personality and it showed as they were looking at us…
And interacting with us.. like this guy and Elise….
We didn’t want to leave our new friends but it was time to go to the Adventure Park… we had heard that this place did the Superman ziplining and we wanted to try it out.
It was a beautiful spot overlooking the valley below… you can see the zipline just waiting for us right
When we arrived I had to use the bathroom so I went downstairs to check it out. When I went into the bathroom area I saw this guy..at first I wasn’t even sure what it was..
We all put on our gear and we were ready to go…. with our guides
After our first zip we were on a platform and noticed all of these mango’s in the trees, none of us had really seen them growing before in a bush like this. So our guides climbed down from the platform and up into the tree’s to get some mango’s
We we all excited and the guides started cutting them open and handing pieces to us…we really couldn’t get enough…they were the best we have ever tasted..right off the tree
After walking up the hill toward the next zip we next came across a Star Fruit Tree…
It was so cool seeing it ripe on the tree and being able to go over and pick it…we ate it and it was much sweeter than I have ever had in a store…awesome
We finished a couple more zips across the valley…
And then it was time for the Superman zip..what makes it different is that you don’t sit back when you go like Sara is doing above, you are strapped in face forward and you are in a superman pose forward as you go down a huge long zip-line…check it out
Here I am getting ready to go. Can you see the purple parachute next to me, they gave me that to let go because in this forward position I cannot stop myself with my hands I need it to slow down.
I am superman… and I can do anything
We all had a great day of fun outside together playing with the monkeys and acting like we are monkey’s 🙂
