Horseshoe Lookout and Antelope Canyon

After Havasupai we decided to drive toward Page, AZ and do a couple more hikes on the North East side of the Grand Canyon.

Before entering Page, AZ you come across a parking lot on the side of the road leading toward HorseShoe Canyon Lookout. This is a Horseshoe shaped bend in the Colorado River that bends about a mile and a half from the road. It has a really big drop and a beautiful view of the river below..

Next stop was a mexican dinner and a motel stay for the night and oh yea a shower!

The next day we got up went to Lower Antelope Canyon to see the beautiful rock formations caused by wind and weather over the years in this slot canyon right outside Page.

You enter on one end and walk on sand down the middle of the canyon as it slopes down, and then you have to climb a large set of steps to get out.   Check it out….

Here are some of our favorite pictures from Antelope Canyon

Such a beautiful place to spend some time, and way cooler than the temp outside in the sun. Now off to do more driving, South this time on our way to Vegas baby….
