Sara and I had such a great Friday. We were both off of work so we got up early and went for a 2 hour bike ride coming back along PCH from Laguna Beach – beautiful!
Next we packed the car and drove to La Jolla beach to meet Eileen and John, friends from WI who were out here for there 10 anniversary. We met at La Jolla Kayak, got changed
and then met our guides for the next two hours out on the water. We Kayaked from the beach (fun getting out through the waves, Sara said”Like the log ride at Six Flags”) to the water caves near La Jolla Cove. On the way over we were able to see Dr Suess house. There were two small caves that we got to go in only briefly and they were cool.
We kayaked back to the beach and on the way back we saw some leapord sharks swimming along the bottom – the water was really clear! After putting our stuff back we headed for La Jolla Cove. We met at the Cove and Sara, Eileen and I went for a swim. The water was awesome – warm and only slight waves and the view of the underwater wildlife was cool. Sara and I headed over to the caves we had just been in and swam through it from the back. It was fun swimming out the way we had come in to watch the kayakers waiting to get in. Eileen is a great swimmer and she swam out to the bouy line and back.
