We haven’t been down to Newport pier to do our friend Juniors Wed night run for a really long time and it was fun to be back. The run now goes all the way from Mutt Lynch’s to the Wedge. It seems hard to believe but Sara and I have never been over to the wedge – we have seen pics and video of the big surf there but have always been on the other side of the breakwater swimming at Big Corona. Man it was a cool view from that side not to mention a beautiful night – clear sky, half crescent moon shining a path to the sand over the waters surface and still in the 80’s. As we ran back on the beach path in partial darkness it was breathtaking.
We also got to see some old friends and meet up with some new friends and have some good Thai food – Yum. Sara and I had to laugh at dinner because we mowed through our plates of food (get in my belly) while the others were asking for “Kari” Out boxes – guess we are trained eaters ;).
