May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13

I had another unexpected step to be cleared for surgery: a trip to the cardiologist. It made me nervous because she could delay my surgery or worse! It all turned out OK and I was able to see first hand why they call it an echocardiogram. I think I have gone to more medical appointments these last 6 weeks than I have for the rest of my lift combined. I got my hospital sponsored COVID test. ( I have been tested 1-2 times per week for a year because of my job.)

On Monday I will have a marker placed in the tumor and have its location confirmed with ultrasound to be sure it is in the correct place. The surgeon otherwise won’t be able tell what is cancer and what is healthy tissue. I also see the plastic surgeon on Monday for last minute prep and then to the hyperbaric chamber to prep for healthy healing.

I find it very challenging to consume 80 grams of protein per day. Almost everything I eat needs to have protein, but occasionally I cheat with a Pumpkin Scone from my coworker. Love the Pumpkin! Count down 3 more days.
