Scuba Training-Weekend 2

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

Weekend two of dive training was in the ocean in Laguna Beach at a place called Shaw’s Cove. We had to redo most of the skills we went over in the pool  – just for real this time in a deeper environments.

The weather outside was amazing warm and sunny as you can see below…

Seems like there are way too many rules, what do you think?

Shaw’s Cove

The cove had light wave action which was great for the entry and exit. These  four flights of stairs you see below were another story, try lugging two tanks and 22 pounds of lead weight up those bad boys – Ha! Air temp was great bottom temp was chilly at 56 F. The visibility Sunday morning on our first dive however was great, saw a huge crab and some fish at about 20-25 feet 🙂

The instructors Greg and Richard from Beach Cities Scuba were top notch – patient and very knowledgeable. Thanks to them I am now a PADI certified Open Water Diver.
