Superbloom Wildflowers 2019

Sara and I hiked out in Lake Elisnore to see the amazing superbloom of desert flowers because of all of rain this winter. We arrived about 6:30 AM and got a parking space right near the Lake street hiking area in Lake Elisnore just as the dawn was awakening.

Sara hiking among the wildflowers
We loved the light and contrast of all of the greens, yellows and purples above us
This cactus was such a wonderful contrast to the purple and orange flowers all around it
Yellow Poppies opening to the morning warm sun
These poppies were in all states of closed and opening and open to the sun with such a wonderful orange color
The sky was such a beautiful blue with the white fluffy clouds and green and yellow hills
These two flowers were beautiful opened and starting to open right next to one another
These purple bells were all over the place and are a wonderful purple color
Looking off into the distance were were struck by how the greens and yellows changed with the rolling hills and the light and shodows
These were very small and delicate flowers with just the morning dew on them
Sunflower feet are so awesome
