Our beach for the day was great and we got a great spot about about 9:30AM before the locals made it there because we found out later that this was the place to be on the weekend. Look at this beautiful setting to play in the water.
After getting completely exhausted from the day playing in the water we went back to the ship, had a snack (we had missed lunch) and went to a lecture that Tom Campbell was giving on the economy. Tom is a PHD economist and was a congressman in California for several terms. He gave some great insight not only to the factors that economists watch to trend how an economy is doing but an insight into how legislation works in Washington from an insiders view. Of course he gave us his predictions for the future and the group assembled brought up some great questions like the affect of US debt on it national security position in the world. Glad we made this one!
