Vineman is a Half Ironman Triathlon (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run) in Sonoma California wine country. The race starts at the Russian river where we swim and the bike and run are in and among the vineyards in this beautiful area. We had a ton of our tri team members with us at the race as well as many training friends – totally a mecca.
Sara and I both were lucky enough to get early start times for the race – just before 7am which is such an advantage in the heat of July. We both had good races – Sara finished in 11th AG with a 5h 33min and Kari was 33rd AG with a time of 5h and 11min.
