Challenged Athlete’s Race

Wow!
What a weekend. We traveled down to San Diego for the annual fund raiser half inroman triathlon for the Challenged Athlete’s Foundation. This foundation helps to make it possible for athletes to contiue to compete and overcome challenges like amputation and spinal cord injuries.

We stayed and had dinner with the imfamous Swim Jim, who swam the English Channel earlier this year. Amazing! He is so fun. He did the swim for the race. Fancy that. He was (I think) the only one who did it without a wet suit.

The race was very inspirational with many of the famous challenged triathletes completeing including Sarah Reinertsen who is the first female challenged athlete to finish the Hawaii Ironman. One of the biggest supporters of triathlon, Robin Williams was also competing in the bike. I was lucky enough to get a few good pics. Check it out!
