On track for success

I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6

My appointments went great! Still emotional but still on track for lumpectomy with radiation and plastics to put me back together.

My oncologist is not worried about the spot on my liver but I will get it checked out anyway to be sure. I will wait for results of my pre-op labs and EKG but hope there are no surprises. My EKG took about 30 seconds.

I really like my Plastic Surgery doctor but this part of the surgery is more complicated. My doc wants me to eat 80 grams of protein a day! and to have 2 hyperbaric chamber treatments before my surgery and 2-3 treatments afterwards. The issue is that don’t have a lot of tissue (small breast) and the tumor is close to my skin. I may have an issue with radiation burn. Ouch. 80 grams of protein is a lot! There is a new “Hyper Health” place that I can walk to from my home so I will probably end up going there. I have never done Hyperbaric before but I have seen it used in the hospital for wound healing. It super saturates tissue with Oxygen so for sure it wont hurt me and if it helps with my healing it will be worth it. They also do cryotherapy there so maybe this is my chance to try that too.

Now I wait for authorization for all my procedures and wait for the Pre-op results to come back so I am good to go. I have my medication for after surgery and lined up a friend to take me to my post op day 1 when I am pumped up on pain killers. Next appointments are the Friday and Monday before my surgery.
