San Deiguito Half Marathon

Our first race of 2008 was an uncomfortable one. Undulating hills and limited training made this race was very humbling for us both. But what a beautiful race! The sweeping country side and ranches along the road were beautiful, and sunshine made for perfect conditions. This is very unlike a much more expensive rainy race last weekend. Our race fetured beer at the 12 mile mark as it is put on by the infamous Hash House Harriers (the drinking group with a running problem). Great food and drink after the race included hot chili (yum), beer and energy drinks. This Solana Beach race is a well kept secret for OC peps, but its organization and 40years of running experience, put it on the “Lets do this again” list. That reminds me, I wonder who else is turning 40 this year???

It was 40 years ago that the geniuses in office design came up with the soul-destroying workspace we call the modern cubicle. Get outta the cube and run. Happy Birthday Sara!
